A person with glasses and a ponytail, wearing a dark blazer and hoop earrings.

Hired in July of 2024, Calla Patton joins us after recently returning to central Illinois.

Calla started her career with local libraries in 2010 as a Library Assistant before earning promotions into management a year later. Her last Illinois library she worked for before she moved to Florida, was the Auburn Public Library District, where she served as their Library Director for a few years.  Then she worked for 5 years at the Palm Beach County Library System in Florida.

Calla joins the growing staff of the Tri-City Public Library District to help increase the visibility and patron services within the community. She comes to us with a vast background in the library field having worked with major library systems, medium and small rural ones.

Her experience covers a wide range from programming for all ages, outreach coordination, technical/circulation work and library administrative knowledge.

"It is important that the community knows that we are here to serve them and to offer great and exciting things to our patrons."
